Privacy policy

This is a static site, but it carries third-party measurement and advertising. On a first visit with no saved choice, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GJ7H0287R5), Microsoft Clarity (project z7tukkm3ox) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6171952) load before the banner appears. Reject stops their future loads and records the refusal for 180 days.

The Adsterra inventory is NativeBanner_1 (unit 32069824), an in-feed widget, and SocialBar_1 (unit 32069826), the floating bar. Adult ads are switched off in the Adsterra panel for this website. The site does not run Popunder, Banner or Smartlink units from Adsterra, and it does not run AdSense or any other advertising network.

Reject writes a refusal record for 180 days and the loader skips vendor requests on later pages. If you clear the record or use Cookie settings to accept, later page views load the vendors again.

GA4 is Google’s audience measurement service. On this site it records page views, referral source, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and interaction events. Its privacy terms are at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://business.safety.google/privacy/.

GA4 may set first-party cookies on gravhounds.xyz, including _ga and _ga_GJ7H0287R5. Cookie names and durations depend on the property configuration. The tag sends data to https://www.googletagmanager.com and https://*.google-analytics.com.

Event data retention follows the setting configured in this GA4 property. The site does not publish a separate audience profile or sell analytics data.

Clarity (project z7tukkm3ox) records session replays and builds heatmaps so I can see where a page is hard to use. It captures clicks, scroll depth, mouse movement, page URLs, browser and device details, and a pseudonymous session identifier. Clarity masks sensitive content by default; this site does not put passwords or payment fields on any page.

Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies and may write the _cltk local-storage key. Requests go to https://www.clarity.ms, https://scripts.clarity.ms and https://*.clarity.ms/collect. Retention follows the connected project configuration. Reject stops future Clarity loads and calls the vendor’s consent API on the current page.

Adsterra serves the two units named above through scripts on bicea.org. The Native Banner appears inside the article flow and the Social Bar is the floating card at the bottom-right. Adsterra and its demand partners may set cookies and read device signals to choose and measure a creative; the exact cookie names are set by Adsterra on its own domains and can change without notice. I do not receive or store those cookies.

Adsterra may use data for interest-based advertising. You can object to personalized advertising at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/, https://optout.aboutads.info/ or https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/, and manage Google-served personalization at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. Reject in this site’s banner turns the Adsterra scripts off and records the refusal for 180 days. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a)); the adult-ads switch is off, so no adult creative is requested for this website.

Video blocks can request a preview image from i.ytimg.com before a click, disclosing your IP address to that image host. The YouTube player iframe on www.youtube-nocookie.com is created only when you press play. After that click, the player can make additional Google and YouTube requests. The fonts are self-hosted. Cloudflare serves the site and may process request metadata for delivery and security under its service terms. No other third-party banner SDK is installed.

The site writes two local-storage keys. gh_consent stores your choice, the ad and analytics signal values, and an expiry 180 days out. gh_adbar_closed stores “closed” when you hide the Social Bar and stays until you clear site data. Neither key is transmitted by this site; the vendor scripts read the consent record on the page.

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal data we control, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Most data described here is held by Google, Microsoft and Adsterra under their own policies; I can help you find the right request route.
