Playing GRAVHOUNDS together

GRAVHOUNDS is 1–4 player online co-op on a listen server. Xbox Series and Xbox on PC play together. Steam does not cross with Xbox. Split-screen is listed on the Xbox store and is not confirmed in the developer FAQ.

Crossplay

The pinned FAQ, written by Pixel Chise at Octopus Panic, says Xbox Series and Xbox on PC support cross-play, and that Steam is currently a separate player community. GameDaily’s launch story repeats that split.

There is no automatic quick match. You browse public sessions, host a public game, or keep it to friends. The FAQ compares that flow to Deep Rock Galactic and Risk of Rain.

Local co-op and split screen

Same-screen play is the open conflict. I put both statements in the table and stop there.

Downs, extracts, and solo

Xbox Nation describes a 30-second extract countdown. lt3 describes downed teammates turning into plush dogs that have to be carried back to the pipeline. Those are review observations, not a patch note.

If a join fails, the launch post says to return to the menu and reconnect, then have the host rebuild the session. More of that is on troubleshooting.

FAQ

Does GRAVHOUNDS have crossplay?

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC cross-play with each other. The FAQ says Steam is a separate community, so there is no Steam-to-Xbox cross-play at launch.

Is there split screen or local co-op?

The Xbox feature list includes shared/split screen. Steam’s tags list online co-op only. The developer FAQ does not confirm same-screen play.

Can I play solo?

Yes. Solo can be offline. Group size changes the pace. Saves carry on the same platform. Steam Cloud needs a connection.
