Build nodes
GRAVHOUNDS builds
A build node is the joint at the end of a pipeline segment. Fabricators, turrets, and generators sit on nodes. Reward Pods then offer upgrades from a deck you set between jobs.
Nodes, kits, and pods
AltChar and the community notes both put the Fabricator on a node so it can mint Build Kits. Demo Patch 1 stopped two turrets from occupying the same node. Generators and other structures use nodes too.
Xbox Wire says Reward Pods hand out weapons and upgrades, and that effects stack. You can lean into mobility, firepower, defense, or a strange mix. The launch roster has four upgradeable weapon platforms plus the Grav Beam. Xbox Nation names a rifle, shotgun, grenade launcher, and sniper among the guns they used. That is a reviewer’s list, not an official catalog.
Role ideas, not a damage chart
These are ways to spend the utilities that reviews and GameMeca actually name. They are not measured builds.
| Idea | Core | How to play it |
|---|---|---|
| Dozer hold | Bone bombs, short pipe, entrance turrets | Mine the approach and the extract path. Keep the pipe short. |
| Selene fetch | Fetch plus the pipeline rail | Grab far crates and downed teammates. Do not solo the base. |
| Finn anchor | Play Dead, mid-range gun | Stand beside the team and buy a revive window. |
| Zane flex | Shockwave bark | Knock groups back. The rest of the kit is still unpublished. |
FAQ
What is a build node in GRAVHOUNDS?
It is the connection at the end of each pipeline piece. If the game tells you to stand on a build node, you have not laid pipe to that spot yet.
How does the mod deck work?
After you unlock mods, you set 10 common mods and up to 2 Showstoppers. Reward Pods draw from that deck. You can change the deck between jobs.
How many mods are there?
The launch post says 60 mods, including 12 Showstoppers. Only three card names are visible in the official overview. The rest are not in a public list. See mods.
Do dogs lock your weapons?
No. The FAQ says every Gravhound shares the beam, weapons, and movement. Utilities differ. Role ideas are below, not a ranked ladder.
