The demo disagreement

On 7 Oct 2026 Octopus Panic announced a demo for 12 Oct, covering two systems, seven planets, and four characters. A demo patch followed on 14 Oct.

GameDaily’s 2 Nov story said a free demo was still on Steam and Xbox. The Steam app details I read list no demo, and the Xbox page has no free-trial entry. I leave both on the page. I will not tell you a demo download is waiting if the stores do not show one.

Keyboard, mouse, and controller are all supported on PC. Xbox lists Play Anywhere, cloud saves, and achievements. Platform gaps are on platforms.

FAQ

Is there a free GRAVHOUNDS demo?

A demo launched on 12 Oct 2026. On 3 Nov 2026 the Steam details list no demo and the Xbox page shows no free trial. GameDaily still said a free demo was available. Those statements disagree.

What is the price in pounds and euros?

COGconnected reported £15.99 and €19.99 on 3 Nov 2026. That is one outlet, so treat it as a single reading of regional prices.

Do I need a code?

No redeem flow is listed on the Steam or Xbox pages. You buy the game or open it with Game Pass. See Game Pass.

How much disk space is required?

Steam’s minimum and recommended rows both require 10 GB of available space. Gamepur repeats that requirement. Download size and installed footprint are separate figures; neither is measured here. Full requirements.
